Big day in Las Americas Nice right Mike Francesco in Fitenia

   Fitenia
Windsurfing: Playa de Las Americas is definetly a winter spot. When the tradewinds don´t reach the southeastern coast of the island, a low pressure can transform the beach next to "Parque Santiago 3" into Tenerife's Hawaii:wind sideshore from the right (northwest) and sometimes huge waves (depending on the swell) can create perfect conditions.
Further on wind from the east/ southeast (Calima wind) can be even better. The "Calima" blows sideoffshore from the left marvellously clean (watch pic. up/ right).

Surfing: This place sometimes offers nice Waves for surfing, and is less crowded, than Las America's top surfing spots.
The swell enters from northwestern, western, southwestern or southern directions. You can choose between a left- and a right- breaking wave. Only problem: the currents can get really strong here!
   Conquistador
Surfing:  "The" surfing spot of Las Americas. A long beach and at least 4 surfable breaks normally leave enough space for everybody. Only the righthander in front of the discotheque "Metropolis" can be crowded on good days (so if you don't have a high level, go somewhere else, there are enough alternatives). Swell directions: northwest, west, southwest and south.
   Bahia Del Duque
Kiteboarding: The Kiteboarding- spot of Las Americas. Location: the beach is just next to Tenerife's famous hotel "Bahia Del Duque". Wind direction: northwest (sideshore from the right). The water here is absolutly flat and guarantees perfect kiting- conditions. For good sailors only: rocks and stones don't forgive mistakes!
